The American Fisheries Society President Miguel Garcia, the AFS Southern Division and the AFS Texas Chapter are excited to welcome you to the 155th Annual Meeting, August 10-14, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas! The theme for 2025 is Headwaters to Saltwater: Understanding the Past, Protecting the Future, 155 Years of AFS<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The San Antonio Program Committee invites submissions of abstracts for oral and poster presentations that support the theme and look to advance the fisheries profession. While San Antonio is an inland destination, we hope the proximity to the Gulf Coast encourages students and professionals from all ecosystem types to submit session proposals to ensure diverse opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abstracts can be submitted for a live, in-person presentation. All presenters will be required to provide a recorded version of their presentation prior to the meeting<\/em><\/strong>. The recorded presentations will be made available to conference registrants, during and after the meeting. All presenters must register for the conference and are expected to present live and in-person in San Antonio. We will not be able to accommodate live, remote presentations during the conference. Presentation guidelines and additional instructions will be provided in future correspondence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the submission process you will indicate if you were invited to speak as part of a symposium session. Abstracts submitted to symposium sessions that are not selected for inclusion will be considered for inclusion in a contributed topic session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 Annual Meeting includes the Black Bass 2025 Symposium<\/strong><\/a>, which will feature concurrent sessions organized under the topical themes of Ecology, Management, and Conservation. If you are submitting an abstract for the Black Bass Symposium, please use the same submission form.   3. Short title (under 30 characters)<\/li>\n\n\n\n

  6. Abstract Type (Oral -12 minutes, Lightning \u2013 5-minutes, or Poster)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
