The goal is to improve our understanding of the&nbsp;<strong>life cycle and seasonal evolution of Sargassum blooms<\/strong>&nbsp;in the North Atlantic and to support operational forecasting capacities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is closely linked to the&nbsp;<strong>institutional mission of M\u00e9t\u00e9o-France on Sargassum<\/strong>, established in 2023 with a dedicated mission for&nbsp;<strong>monitoring and forecasting Sargassum beachings&nbsp;<\/strong>French Caribeean Islands and Guiana, providing early warning services to local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The candidate will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contribute to the development and validation of MTG-based detection algorithms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop a combined MTG\/GOES Sargassum observation product<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work on the integration of satellite data into the NEMO-Sarg model<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce and evaluate seasonal forecast simulations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage in national and
