Este proyecto, en alianza con el gobierno local y ministerios cubanos, incluye una estrategia de incentivos financieros para escalar las iniciativas a largo plazo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paralelamente, el programa Transici\u00f3n Agroecol\u00f3gica hacia Municipios Sostenibles, respaldado por la Uni\u00f3n Europea, seleccion\u00f3 a la Isla de la Juventud entre ocho territorios cubanos para desarrollar cadenas de valor en prote\u00edna animal (aves, cerdos, peces) y energ\u00edas renovables en fincas locales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La comunidad La Reforma fue elegida para pilotar una micro-red energ\u00e9tica sostenible, integrando paneles solares y biog\u00e1s. Seg\u00fan Carlos D\u00edaz Gonz\u00e1lez, coordinador del proyecto, el desaf\u00edo no es solo t\u00e9cnico, sino cultural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque los avances son prometedores, persisten obst\u00e1culos. La inestabilidad en suministros y la necesidad de fortalecer la gobernanza local, se\u00f1alados en talleres recientes . Adem\u00e1s, la integraci\u00f3n de actores diversos como la UNESCO en proyectos de turismo sostenible&nbsp; o ONU-H\u00e1bitat en planificaci\u00f3n urbana que requiere mayor coordinaci\u00f3n para evitar duplicidades.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Isla de la Juventud est\u00e1 escribiendo un cap\u00edtulo crucial en la sostenibilidad cubana. Si logra consolidar sus pilotos en Cocodrilo y La Reforma, podr\u00eda ofrecer un modelo replicable para otras regiones insulares. Sin embargo, el \u00e9xito depender\u00e1 de mantener el financiamiento internacional, la participaci\u00f3n comunitaria y una visi\u00f3n integral que vincule energ\u00eda, alimentaci\u00f3n y cultura ambiental.&nbsp;La autonom\u00eda municipal es el camino.
