m\u00e1s persistentes del&nbsp;<strong>Caribe mexicano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, la presencia de esta macroalga ha afectado playas, ecosistemas marinos y la actividad tur\u00edstica en destinos clave como<strong>&nbsp;Canc\u00fan, Playa del Carmen, Tulum y Puerto Morelos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque en algunos periodos se han registrado reducciones importantes en la acumulaci\u00f3n del sargazo en Quintana Roo, especialistas advierten que el fen\u00f3meno continuar\u00e1 cada a\u00f1o debido a factores ambientales y clim\u00e1ticos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-el-sargazo-fenomeno-que-marca-la-agenda-ambiental-del-caribe-mexicano\">El sargazo, fen\u00f3meno que marca la agenda ambiental del Caribe mexicano<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El sargazo es una&nbsp;<strong>macroalga marina flotante<\/strong>&nbsp;que forma parte natural del ecosistema del Atl\u00e1ntico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada su proliferaci\u00f3n ha aumentado de manera considerable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De acuerdo con especialistas, este fen\u00f3meno se relaciona con diversos factores ambientales que<strong>&nbsp;han modificado el comportamiento de las corrientes marinas<\/strong>&nbsp;y la producci\u00f3n de algas en el oc\u00e9ano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Entre los elementos que influyen en el aumento del sargazo destacan:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>El\u00a0<strong>calentamiento del mar\u00a0<\/strong>asociado al cambio clim\u00e1tico<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El incremento de nutrientes transportados por r\u00edos y corrientes oce\u00e1nicas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Variaciones en vientos y corrientes marinas que favorecen su desplazamiento hacia el Caribe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas condiciones han contribuido a la formaci\u00f3n del denominado Gran Cintur\u00f3n de&nbsp;<strong>Sargazo del Atl\u00e1ntico<\/strong>, una extensa masa de algas
