Arianna Garc\u00eda Chamero, jefa del proyecto, explic\u00f3 que \u201ceste estudio, que se desarrollar\u00e1 entre 2026 y 2029, permitir\u00e1 a Cuba posicionarse como referente regional en el uso de t\u00e9cnicas nucleares para enfrentar la contaminaci\u00f3n pl\u00e1stica, aportando evidencia cient\u00edfica clave para proteger nuestros ecosistemas marinos y la salud humana\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n se integra a la iniciativa global NUTEC Plastics del OIEA, que promueve la detecci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de micropl\u00e1sticos mediante protocolos de monitoreo armonizados a nivel mundial.
